Good food, for all. The thought inspired our Founder, respected Late M. O. John – a visionary, a humanitarian and a businessman whose ideas were way ahead of times.
The Founder General Secretary of Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi, the largest organization of business owners in Kerala and the President of Chamber of Commerce, Thrissur, his entrepreneurial skills made him a leader of his times, and his brand – the market leader for more than 62 years.
Manjilas, the mother brand of Double Horse, was founded in the year 1959, as a rice milling company selling high-quality rice grains.
The brand, on the strength of its commitment to deliver only the best to its customers, has witnessed phenomenal growth over the years. It revolutionized the food sector in Kerala by becoming the first ISO 9001:2000 certified Rice Mill in the state and the first food brand to introduce sortex rice, stoneless rice and colour grading.
Inspired by the support of its customers and foreseeing the potential for traditional food that’s made easy to suit today’s busy, modern lifestyle, Manjilas Double Horse started introducing products- from rice powders- breakfast mixes to instant mixes, wheat products, curry powders and condiments made using ‘Perfect Blend technology’, naturally preserved pickles, health foods, ready-to-cook & ready-to-eat products, traditional preserves, coconut products and more; and is dedicatedly developing new and innovative product ranges, to keep up with its promise to deliver good food and in turn, inculcate a healthy eating habit.
Today, Manjilas Double Horse offers its customers the widest variety of good food with more than 20 superior types of rice and 250 premium quality food products in different ranges.

I consider it a great honour to mantle the chairmanship of this great organization that has a legacy of 60 years. This is the only family owned food company in kerala with such a rich legacy.

Vinod Manjila is the Chairman of Double Horse group from 2020. He is a problem solver excited by challenges and a natural risk taker. These qualities make him look for an opportunity in every problem. The Chairman always believes that there is a scope for improvement in the organization and work. Under his leadership, Double Horse has transformed to an MNC.
Prior to Double Horse, he has worked with Software firm Tally Solutions. Vinod Manjila has completed his B.Tech in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology and MBA from T.A.Pai Management Institute, Karnataka. In addition, he completed a course in rice milling from CFTRI , Mysore. Vinod Manjila strongly believes that the next decade is of innovation and disruption and he steers the organization towards the same.
Apart from all the busy schedules and business activities, Mr. Vinod Manjila has an interest in Music and travelling which gives him a vast exposure and knowledge. He is an active member of a few organisations like CII, TMA, etc.

As the Director of Double Horse, Sajive Manjila believes in following the footsteps and core values laid by his father Late Shri. M.O John, Founder, Double Horse Group. Sajive Manjila played a vital role in thrusting Double Horse to one of the top food processing companies in South India.
As a businessman, lawyer and philanthropist, he has over four decades of experience in food manufacturing, processing and retailing. His overseas exposure helped him to transform the organisation from a family run business to professionally managed company.
He holds a law degree from Govt. Law College, Mumbai and a PGDM from K C College, Mumbai.

Santosh Manjila’s association with the Manjilas Food Tech Private Limited started from the late 90s. He joined the organization immediately after his graduation. As a Managing Director and investor, he has over three decades of experience in food processing Industry.
He plays a key role in food processing and marketing at Double Horse. He holds a degree in Commerce from St. Aloysius College, affiliated to the University of Calicut.
Apart from the business, Santosh Manjila is a very health conscious person. He found passion in badminton that keeps him healthy.

Joe Ranji joined Double Horse Board in April 2015. As a budding director he plays a pivotal role in bringing focus & discipline to the organization. At Double Horse, he takes a lead role in development & maintenance of IT systems and manages Purchase.
Joe Ranji has an experience of working with cross- cultural teams in Atlanta & Georgia, during his past stints with Shell, Chevron & Toyota. He graduated from Everest University in Computer Information Science and completed his masters from Phoenix University in Information Systems.
Joe is interested in travelling across the globe & he provides insights on the food habits overseas and that’s a great knowledge to the company.
